Testimonials

“GMGI first worked with Joey back in October of 2023 when they photographed our yearly Science Forum and have since worked with them for more general organizational images. Each time we’ve worked together, they are eager to jump right in and get started, taking great images of attendees, speakers, atmosphere, guests, etc. They bring a wonderful, upbeat energy and feel very comfortable taking control of the subjects and (kindly) directing them to get the best on-camera results. Their images have been used in our newsletters, website, and social media. We look forward to working with Joey on future GMGI events!” - Ashley

“I’ve had many photoshoots in my day, and I have to say, working with Joey has been the best experience I’ve had with a photographer. I had my own anxieties and insecurities being in front of a camera again and Joey would ask me questions periodically to keep me engaged and quell my anxieties. All in all, I am VERY happy with Joey’s work and my overall experience.” - Rachel

“Joey is incredible! I first connected with them while volunteering at the Salem Arts Festival many years ago. They have an excellent eye for photography, a warm spirit, and fantastic talent. Lynn Museum/LynnArts recently worked with them to capture images of our exhibition and gallery spaces, which was long overdue. The pictures they shared are phenomenal! We've been able to use them on our website, for print and social media ads, and so much more. Joey's work has been invaluable to us, and we can't wait to work with them again. Thank you, Joey!” - Doneeca

“Its so funny how social media works. I hashtag #darkphotography in salem and I come across Joey who soon after brought my vision to life. They knew exactly what vibe and idea I was looking for, for my 30th birthday shoot. They completely came and conquered the vision I had! Joey made coorindinating and planning the shoot so easy as she is very familar with the area of Salem. We prepared this shoot months in advance and whenever I reached out to them, they always got back to me with ease and professionalism. Joey is so talented and I highly recommend them! I'm beyond happy with how the pictures came out and couldn't be more content with the beautiful memory I have for my 30th birthday.” - Dana

Photography as Energy Work

For me, photography isn’t just capturing images, it’s energy work. In addition to photography, I’m also an intuitive tarot reader who includes this ability in my visual work. This is also an offering I provide outside of the visual medium. If you’re interested in booking a session – contact me.

A note on access:

Phone calls can be intimidating, I get it. Here is a new person with an energetic offering, a doorway that you will have to walk through to get to the magic.

This work is not for everyone. This work is an act of creative engagement that will be transformative. If you’re drawn to it, it really means that the universe is nudging you to try something different. I encourage you to message me and see if working with me is in alignment for you.

My work is an investment financially and energetically, but that doesn’t mean that I will turn people away if they can’t meet my rate sheet. If you feel called to work with me, reach out and ask. If the draw is mutual we can make anything work. This is especially true if you identify with a historically underrepresented community such as the Black, Brown, Queer, Trans, Disabled, Low-income and the inherent intersections of those spaces.
